Ancient Mariner Fishing — Limited Lifetime Warranty
At Ancient Mariner Fishing, our reels are built by fishermen for fishermen. We stand behind the durability and craftsmanship of every reel we sell with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
What's Covered
This warranty covers all Ancient Mariner Fishing reels (including the Gem Series, Albatross Series, and Ocean Tycoon Series) for as long as the original purchaser owns the reel. If your reel fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship under normal recreational fishing use, we will repair or replace it, at our discretion, free of charge.
Who's Covered
This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or invoice) is required for all warranty claims. Must be purchased from an authorized dealer for warranty to be valid. Unauthorized purchase from a third party vendor voids the warranty.
What's Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to line wear, bearing wear, drag washer wear, and cosmetic scratches or fading

Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or unauthorized repair or modification

Damage caused by saltwater and freshwater exposure without proper rinsing and maintenance, sand or grit intrusion, or failure to follow care instructions

Damage from accidents, drops, or exposure to extreme conditions

Reels used for commercial fishing purposes

Loss or theft

Normal maintenance items, such as lubrication or cleaning
How to Make a Claim

Provide proof of purchase and a description (and, if possible, photos) of the defect.

If approved, we will provide instructions for sending in your reel for inspection.

Once inspected, we will repair or replace the reel at our discretion. If the original model is discontinued, we will substitute a comparable current model.
The customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with a warranty claim, including shipping the reel to us and return shipping once the claim has been processed.
Limitation of Liability
Repair or replacement is the exclusive remedy under this warranty. Ancient Mariner Fishing is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of tackle, travel expenses, or loss of fishing time. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
